FCamara is looking for a Mid Backend Engineer to design and evolve scalable backend systems within a modern .NET ecosystem. You will work on customer-centric platforms involving onboarding workflows, orchestration, and integrations across internal and external systems within a microservices-based architecture.

We are looking for candidates located in Portugal or the United Kingdom, due to the time zone alignment with the client.

3+ years of backend engineering experience
Strong experience with C# and .NET
Experience building REST APIs
Good understanding of clean architecture or layered architecture
Experience with Entity Framework, SQL, and relational databases
Familiarity with Azure and/or AWS cloud platforms and microservices-based systems
Strong problem-solving and debugging skills
Fluency in English

Nice to Have:

Experience in banking, fintech, CRM, or onboarding platforms
Understanding of concurrency, idempotency, and workflow orchestration
Experience with distributed systems and cloud-native services

Build and maintain backend APIs and services using C# and .NET
Work within a clean architecture and microservices-based ecosystem using UseCases, repositories, and domain entities
Design and implement backend workflows and REST APIs
Write maintainable, testable, and production-ready code
Participate in code reviews and technical discussions
Work with SQL databases, Entity Framework, and transactional workflows
Collaborate with frontend engineers on multi-step workflows and API contracts
