FiberHome is looking for an experienced DWDM/OTN Transmission Support Engineer to provide technical support and maintenance for advanced optical transmission network environments.

The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with DWDM/OTN equipment, network operations, troubleshooting, fault resolution, and technical support in large-scale telecommunications environments.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience managing geographically distributed field teams.
• Experience managing regional operational bases or warehouses.
• Experience with large-scale fiber network maintenance.
• Experience coordinating multiple subcontractors and service providers.
• Strong understanding of field resource planning and emergency response.

Requisitos

• Proven experience in optical fiber / OSP network maintenance.
• Experience managing regional field operations or telecommunications maintenance teams.
• Strong practical knowledge of: Fiber optic maintenance, Fiber splicing, OTDR , Aerial fiber networks, Underground fiber networks, Duct infrastructure, Directional drilling / MND, Emergency fiber restoration
• Experience managing SLA and MTTR in a network maintenance environment.
• Experience coordinating both internal field teams and subcontractors.
• Experience managing field equipment, vehicles, materials, and operational resources.
• Strong knowledge of telecommunications field operations in Brazil.
• Fluent Portuguese.
• Availability for regional travel and emergency operational support.

Principais Responsabilidades

• Manage optical fiber network maintenance and field operations.
• Lead teams responsible for 24×7 fault response and emergency restoration.
• Coordinate field technicians, operational resources, and external service providers.
• Monitor SLA, MTTR, response times, and maintenance performance.
• Coordinate fiber fault localization, repair, and restoration activities.
• Oversee fiber splicing and optical cable maintenance.
• Coordinate maintenance of aerial and underground fiber networks.
• Support activities involving ducts, underground infrastructure, and directional drilling when required.
• Manage operational resources including vehicles, tools, equipment, materials, and storage facilities.
• Coordinate subcontractors and monitor service quality and performance.
• Ensure appropriate staffing and resource allocation for regional operations.
• Support major incidents and ensure timely service restoration.
• Identify operational issues and implement improvements to field efficiency.
