About Us
Trucking moves the American economy. It is a $1 trillion market, and it still runs on fragmented operations, thin margins, and technology a generation behind. Billor, short for "Bill of Rights," is the only company transforming this market end to end, combining Freight and Technology for Truck Drivers, Freight Brokers, and Small Carriers into a single ecosystem. We operate a fleet of several hundred heavy-duty trucks and run integrated business lines across freight, fintech, and technology platforms.

About the role
We are building an AI-first product organization, and that changes what design means here.We are not looking for someone to hand off screens. We want a designer who takes a messy business problem, talks to the people living it, and comes back days later with a working prototype others can click and break. Someone who builds instead of describes.
You will own usability and UX across our product portfolio: dense, workflow-heavy platforms used by people under real time pressure, where every second of friction has a measurable cost. Web and mobile, internal and customer-facing.You will be the most senior design voice in the room. You set the bar, own the design system, and sit next to Product and Engineering as a partner in deciding what gets built, not just how it looks

Responsibilities

  • Understand the operation and its economics well enough to challenge a requirement, not just receive it.
  • Run your own discovery with users and internal operators, and turn what you hear into problem definitions the team agrees on.
  • Move from problem to clickable prototype in days, not sprints, using AI tools as your default way of working.
  • Ship functional prototypes with real data and real logic that can be tested end to end.
  • Design AI-native experiences: conversational interfaces, agentic workflows, human-in-the-loop review, model uncertainty, and failure states.
  • Own and evolve our design system across products: tokens, components, documentation, adoption.
  • Design for the hard states (empty, loading, error, offline, edge cases) and guarantee accessibility across web and mobile.
  • Define what metric your work should move before design starts, and follow it after launch.
  • Mentor designers, run critique, and defend decisions to leadership with user evidence and business reasoning.
  • Bring new tooling and better ways of working into the team.

Requisitos

  • 8+ years in product design, with a portfolio showing end to end ownership on complex web and mobile products, including the problem, the tradeoffs, and the outcome.
  • Demonstrable experience building with AI development tools such as Lovable, v0, Claude Code, Cursor, or Figma Make, with links to what you personally built.
  • Comfort with code at a working level, enough to inspect a component, adjust behavior, and hold a technical conversation without a translator.
  • Proven experience with complex, workflow-driven products such as operational tools, dashboards, marketplaces, fintech, or logistics.
  • Depth in UX fundamentals: information architecture, interaction design, usability heuristics, accessibility, and high-density data.
  • Hands-on research skill, running interviews and usability tests yourself and synthesizing them into decisions.
  • Experience building and scaling a design system across more than one product.
  • Expert in Figma, including components, variables, auto layout, and advanced prototyping.
  • Strong written and spoken English, since our operation and our users are in the US.
