What you will do: As a Project Engineer, you will lead complex, cross-functional manufacturing and industrial projects within Powertrain Industrial—from concept and feasibility to industrialization and handover to operations. You will act as a key link between technology, manufacturing, product development, and other areas, ensuring projects deliver value in terms of quality, cost, timing, and sustainability. This role requires autonomy, stakeholder influence, and the ability to drive change in a dynamic environment. Key responsibilities: • Lead end-to-end manufacturing and industrialization projects • Ensure alignment with business strategy and priorities • Manage project scope, timeline, cost, quality, and risks • Coordinate stakeholders across Engineering, Product, Purchasing, Quality, and Logistics • Drive performance, risk mitigation, and decision-making • Lead high-performing teams in a matrix environment • Manage budgets and resources • Support smooth transition to serial production • Communicate project status and key decisions Who you are: An experienced Project Engineer with strong business acumen and the ability to navigate complexity. You balance structure and pragmatism, leadership and collaboration, and are comfortable working with ambiguity, multiple stakeholders, and high expectations while delivering tangible results.
Continua apos o anúncioYour Profile Experience & Education: • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related field • MBA or postgraduate studies in Project Management is a plus • Minimum 5 years leading complex projects • Experience in manufacturing, industrialization, or automotive is a plus • Proven track record delivering high-impact projects Project Management: • Strong knowledge of planning, scheduling, budgeting, risk, and governance • Familiarity with predictive, hybrid, and/or agile methodologies • PMP®, PgMP®, or similar certification is desirable Technical Knowledge: • Experience in industrial or manufacturing environments • Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing • Volvo products and processes knowledge is a plus Leadership & Communication: • Strong leadership and influencing skills • Excellent stakeholder management at all levels • Fluent English (written and spoken) Personal Attributes: • Proactive, results-driven, and accountable • Curious mindset with continuous learning attitude • Strong decision-making and problem-solving skills • Customer-focused and solution-oriented • Adaptable to fast-paced environments
